AI Shows Us What Celebrities Would Look Like as the Opposite Gender

Have you ever wondered what celebrities would look like as the opposite gender? Thanks to the wonders of technology, we're now able to take a peek at how some of our favorite actors and actresses might have turned out if they had switched sexes. From Brad Pitt to Tom Cruise,  today’s modern tools have allowed us to explore the concept in an entertaining way. We'll be looking at several famous faces and discussing what changing their gender could mean for their career paths.

For many stars, starting your career as woman can mean more roles early on but fewer roles as they get older. According to an analysis by Time, an actress's career peaks at around the age of 30. For an actor, the peak happens at around the age of 46. That's a pretty huge difference and can tell us a lot about how different an actor or actress's career might be just because of their gender.

Using AI technology, we can finally know what Ryan Reynolds might look like as a woman. And while we can never really know what his or any other celebrity's life would be like as the opposite gender, we can take a pretty good guess. Without further ado, let's take a look at these gender-swapped celebrity images!

Its no secret that Brad Pitt is a beautiful man, so it should come as no surprise that he'd make a beautiful woman too. In fact, this is a fairly fitting look for Hollywood's pretty boy, even with the semi-muscular physique. The AI even captures that Brad Pitt smile perfectly.

We have to wonder though, just how different Brad Pitt's career would be today if he was a woman. At the age of 59, like he is now, he probably wouldn't be starring in many action films like Bullet Train, but the dramatic roles might be plentiful. 

Yet another pretty boy of Hollywood turns out to be an actractive woman, according to AI. The Titanic star rose to fame for his boyish good looks and has since e turned into an Oscar-winning star, now known for some of his more dramatic roles, especially with filmmakers like Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorcese.

As a woman, Dicaprio might have gone pretty far as a star and with equal talent would have made it far, but its hard to say just how far.  As for the dating models under 25 thing, Dicaprio probably would have faced scrutiny, or been called a cougar a long time ago. 

Al Pacino is a Hollywood legend from the classic film trilogy The Godfather and suffice to say, without that trilogy, Pacino probably never would have been a star. So while as an actress, she may have had some luck, the results would not have been the same.

Here you can see Pacino as woman standing in front of a man who looks just like Pacino - but with a mustache. What does this mean though? That he'd have a brother? We don't know because we aren't an AI. We are just here for the ride and to find out how good looking everyone would still be as the opposite gender.

Tom Hanks got his start in the '80s and his female version certainly has those '80s actress vibes going on. - almost like a Debra Winger or someone like that. But given that Debra Winger hasn't been too relevant these days, his career probably wouldn't have been the same.

While much of the work he did in the '80s was comedy, by the '90s Tom Hanks started taking on dramatic roles. That transition probably would have been more difficult for him if he were a woman, since Hollywood tends to abandon its female comedians once they start showing signs of aging.

Will Smith is another iconic action star, whose also known for his dramatic and comedic performances. Again, as a woman, Smith probably wouldn't have been as successful, but at least that Chris Rock incident wouldn't have happened. Nevertheless, Will Smith is looking pretty gorgeous here but still looks very much like Will Smith.

It looks like Will Smith really could have gone either way but we are glad to have the Will Smith we have now. And we wouldn't change anything about him - except for recent events. Still its interesting to see what Will Smith might look like in an alternate reality.

Is there a more legendary action star than Harrison Ford? From Star Wars to Raider of the Lost Ark, he's been in some of the most iconic action films of all time. He's also done his fair share of dramatic work in films like Witness and Apocalypse Now. 

As woman, he probably wouldn't have had the same career but certainly would have been beautiful. We have to say this is a fairly impressive look, although the real Harrison Ford probably wouldn't be too impressed. He seems rather grumpy, but that's what makes him so relatable. And the female version looks pretty grumpy too.

Lastly, we have Tom Cruise, star of some of Hollywood's biggest films including the Mission Impossible franchise and Top Gun. In this image, he looks like he could have easily filled Kelly McGillis's role but like that actress might not have found the same success as her costar.

He certainly wouldn't have made it beyond a single Mission Impossible movie, given that frnachise swaps out female leads more than Tom Cruise swaps out his wives. Or maybe its more accurate to say they escaped?

Regardless, the AI's gender-swapped version of Tom Cruise certainly works but thankfully it's just a picture or we would never have had Cruise as Lestat.

One of Hollywood's most handsome young stars turns out to make a pretty good-looking lady if we might say so. The High School Musical  star might have even played the lead female role, assuming he could still carry a tune. Of course then, we'd be missing out on Vanessa Hudgens. 

Although, we have to say here that Efron looks more like an interior designer than a movie star, so maybe as a woman she'd be renovating people's houses or something instead of starring in various Netflix documentary series, or playing Ted Bundy for that matter.

Keanu Reeves has had an interesting career. Beginning in the '80s, he had his breakthrough role in the comedy Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure but soon after Hollywood decided he would be a better action star, putting him in films like Point Break, Speed and The Matrix, on top of a few dramas here and there.

For a while, after the Matrix trilogy, died down a little bit until he was revived with the success of John Wick. As a woman, he gives off some Shannen Doherty vibes, but he probably wouldn't be as successful or be an action star at the age of 58. He'd still like sandwiches though.

The beautiful, funny and talented Sofia Vergara has managed to muster a successful film and television career, despite being the age of 50 - although she certainly doesn't look it.  And as a man, it looks like she'd age just as gracefully - and apparently be super ripped. 

Those bulging muscles really speak for themselves in terms of keeping in shape, much like the female version of Vergara we have in reality. She might not be super muscular, but she's got a fit beach body we are definitely jealpous of - and it seems it would be only worse for us if she were a man.

Hey girl, it's a girl version of Ryan Gosling at your service. Gosling is here looking like he's on the set of Mad Men or something, which is interesting, because he pulls the look off well. Certainly pretty, Gosling would have the appeal to be a Hollywood star.

Although as a woman, Gosling probably wouldn't be turning heads the same as someone like Sofia Vergara, as a woman, Gosling could probably get some decent roles, especially with that charming smile - or smirk - or whatever you want to call it. Whatever it is, we love it and how quickly it can translate into badass territory.

We have to say, we were surprised AI didn't just generate an image of Maggie Gyllenhaal but then we realized those two don't even really look like that much like each other, even though they are brother and sister. As a woman, their looks would certainly rival.

What would Gyllenhaal's career look like? It's hard to say, particularly because Jake Gyllenhaal's career has been all over the place. From his starnge roles in films like Nightcrawler and Donnie Darko to family films like October Sky and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The funny, talented and handsome Ryan Reynolds has captured the hearts of comic fans for his role in Deadpool and proven to be excellent eye candy for some of his other audiences. Charming and annoying at the same time, it's hard to imagine Hollywood without him.

As a woman his looks would rival those of his real-life wife Blake Lively, but we have to say Lively would still be a lot prettier. A female version of Reynolds could still probably pull of the snarky action star thing, but we'll never really know.

Paul Rudd, Hollywood's ageless wonder, has played innumerous modern classic comedy films for over two decades now, and he's also taken on the role of a superhero, one integral to finally taking down Thanos - and no, not by going up his hindquarters.

As a woman, he totally has those girl-next-door vibes going on and we can certainly get behind that. Afterall, he's deinitely got those boy-next-door vibes going on. That being said, the AI has certainly translated him here very well as a woman. We'd also assume that his female version would be just as funny.

We have to admit, Tilda Swinton as a man wouldn't look a whole lot different. That's not to say that Tilda Swinton looks like a man but she's definitely played one before so its not too far off, and she might even agree.

In an uncredited role in the horror film Suspiria Swinton plays an 82-year-old man. For the role, it required four hours of her time in the makeup chair and the results are pretty stunning. But in this AI image, no makeup was required. The image was made almost instantly. You're welcome.

If Elvis Presley were to be depicted as a woman, some of his distinctive facial features, such as his strong jawline, prominent nose, and deep-set eyes, might still be present but with a softer appearance. His hair would be the standout feature, just as in his male form, with equal amounts of volume, just longer. 

As a woman, Elvis looks less like a rock icon and more like a sensual pin-up girl, but hey, we're not complaining! We doubt he'd be any less talented, however, and would rock similar flashy outfits on stage, just with a bit more skin. Think Cher with a rockabilly twist! 

Christopher Walken has several distinctive facial features that would transfer into his female form, including a high forehead and thin hair, which would be style combed back in a voluminous blowout. Walken's cheekbones would also be high and well-defined, but his notoriously thin lips would be slightly plumper.

Career-wise, female Walken would land the leading female roles for big blockbuster flicks throughout the 1980s and 1990s. With this physique, we could totally see her landing a role as a Bond Girl! Like his career as a male actor, her career would be diverse and defined by playing unique and memorable characters. 

Shia LaBeouf's unique facial features transfer well into a female physique. From his disheveled curls and large eyes to his straight nose and wide mouth, his female persona looks far more innocent and mysterious than his rugged male look. Despite this softer appearance, we doubt she'd be any less controversial.

Not only would she stir up controversy in the media for her diva-like tendencies, but she'd probably be barred from working. As a man, Shia LaBeouf gets a "pass" for his bad behavior, but female Shia would have to prove herself more to be taken as seriously in Hollywood. That being said, she'd make a name for herself in indi films and Oscar-worthy leading lady roles. 

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham sports a distinct set of features, including a strong jaw, large eyes, wide and pursed lips, and enviously high cheekbones. Because of her bold appearance, her male persona would only need a few tweaks. As you can see, "Victor" still has high cheekbones and bold eyebrows but a thinner mouth and wider jaw. The hair isn't so different, as Victoria often wears her hair in a short bob. 

"Victor's" career as a musician perhaps wouldn't take the same trajectory as the Spice Girls, though we definitely still see him as "Posh Spice" in a boy band. As an independent musician, however, he'd be more of a John Mayer type, dabbling in the niche male-dominated genre of "sob rock." He'd sport the same demure and serious look when posing with his sporty wife on the red carpet. 
 

Kevin Bacon is known for his slim bodytype and modest height, reaching just around 5'10. As a woman, "Kelsey," she would sport the same high cheekbones, chiseled jaw, straight nose, and wide mouth. Her eyes would be softer, however, and have fuller lips. Instead of a short, messy cut, "Kelsey" would have a shaggy dark blonde hairdo that reaches past her collarbone. 

Similarly to her male for, "Kelsey" would have a memorable appearance and distinct acting style that would make her an enduring actress in Hollywood. For instance, she would land the lead female role in Footloose easily, and would have no problem playing Mystique in X-Men. 

Honestly, it's difficult to picture this billionaire businessman as a woman, and A.I. felt the same way. Basically, Elon Musk's female appearance is just Elon's face with a long brown wig. As "Ellie" Musk, she always keeps herself well-groomed and wears designer dresses and bold lipstick daily. 

As "Ellie," she would achieve equal success in the business and entrepreneurship world as Elon, but would take advantage of more opportunities for motivational speaking, even publishing a book or two to help young women become successful like her. Plus, she would be lightyears more charitable and level-headed than the scatterbrained male CEO. 

Paul Walker was a beautiful man with bright yes and soft-yet-strong features, so it's no surprise that his female persona, "Paula" is a blonde bombshell! From her long blonde waves to her toned and slim physique, she would be the sex icon of the early 2000s. 

On top of landing roles in action movies like James Bond films and Fast and Furious, we could see "Paula" replacing Megan Fox in Transformers... Controversial, but we can't deny it! PLus, she'd be on the cover of every top magazine, like Sports Illustrated and Vogue. 

Rather than action films, we see "Roberta" as an actress akin to Meryl Streep or Katharine Hepburn. In other words, a Hollywood icon with diverse roles that never fail to make an impact on audiences. From drama to comedy and musicals, "Roberta" would be the face of Hollywood success and would use her platform to advocate for rights groups and charities. 

If Carrie Underwood were a man, he would catapult to success in the same way on American Idol. Instead of delving into country music, however, "Carson" would be a teen heartthrob akin to Justin Timberlake. Just look at that face! With his shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes, no one would be able to resist his charm. 

Like Carrie, "Carson" would be remembered for more than just music, but also his fashion sense. known for her stunning looks and fashion sense. Plus, the male Underwood would be vocal about his dedication to fitness and healthy living. He would not be afraid to experiment with bold colors and daring styles. 

Miranda Lambert is known for her powerful vocal and songwriting talents. Her male persona would be equally talented and remembered for his similar gritty, authentic sound. Miranda typically wears her hair long and blonde with a classic Southern look, so her male form would sport similar blonde waves stopping past the ear. 

Lambert has a down-to-earth and relatable personality that has endeared her to fans, and she often incorporates her personal experiences and emotions into her music. As a man, he would similarly become a chart-topping country star with a number of accolades to his name. 

Mexican-American actress Salma Hayek has a varied and celebrated career, including everything from acting to producing and directing. As for appearance, as a man, he would sport similar dark features that convey a sense of intensity and passion. While his form would be curvaceous, it would be natural and strong. His hair would be styled in perfect curls and would sport a hint of facial hair in daily life. 

Hayek is also known for her fashion sense and has become a style icon in the entertainment industry., so her male form would wear similarly striking clothes. Funnily enough, Jennifer Aniston would be the Brad Pitt of her time if she were a man. Just look at him! "Justin" Aniston is the sexy combination of Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Jared Leto. We don't see him as a lead actor in Friends or similar sitcoms, but as a heartthrob actor in romance and actions films. 

As for "Justin" Aniston's appearance, he specifically would be remembered for his striking good looks and rugged charm. He has blue eyes and blonde hair would be styled from long and shaggy to short and slicked back depending on the role. He has a chiseled jawline and would be seen with a five o'clock shadow, which only adds to his appeal.

Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most notable actors of his time, so you know his female persona would be equally memorable. Appearance-wise, she would have short and coiffed hair, similarly, strong features, and a serious expression that can set anyone on edge of she looks at you the wrong way. 

As for her career, "Samantha" would dominate everything from period pieces to fantasy and sci-fi roles, paving the way for women of color in Hollywood. Plus, she would be so celebrated that her name would be a regular nomination at countless award shows. We also see her as a prominent stage actress, winning tony's for her moving performances. 

"Johanna" Depp would be a slim, sex icon for films ranging from action to drama and everything in between. She'd be known for her effortless appearance, including a shaggy, short haircut and trendy androgynous clothing. Not only would she be breaking hearts and stealing the show, but Johanna would be a regular on the cover of magazines. 

Even though "Johanna" couldn't stay out of tabloids and scandals to save her life, no one can deny her prominent career. In fact, we see a future for her aside from mere Hollywood acting, but also as a grungy rockstar touring the world with her band of misfits.
