46 Celebrity Stunt Doubles That Will Make You Do a Double Take

Carrie Fisher & Sandi Gross
Carrie Fisher and Sandi Gross soak up some sun while on the set of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Even when they aren't tumbling around past Jabba the Hut, it's hard to tell Carrie and Sandi apart. Not only did she do stunts for Princess Leia, but Gross also performed stunts in Sister Act.
It's good to have a friend who not only looks like you, but one who will rock the same golden bikini with you too.
Harrison Ford & Vic Armstrong

Vic Armstrong is one of the most prolific stunt performers of all time. He is most famous for standing in for Harrison Ford in many of his films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, Frantic, and Working Girl. Most recently, he was a stunt performer in the TV series Penny Dreadful and was the stunt coordinator for Avengers: Infinity War.
Armstrong is definitely more than qualified for his stunt career, but it helps when you look just like everyone's favorite action hero.
Johnny Depp & Tony Angelotti

Tony Angelotti played Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow stunt double in the first 3 Pirates films. He probably hasn't continued to do so because he sued the Walt Disney Company for injuries he sustained during a stunt accident. During one stunt, he fractured his pelvis, had internal bleeding, was in intensive care for 4 days, and had to relearn how to walk after being confined to a wheelchair for some time.

Lynda Carter & Jeannie Epper

Not only has Jeannie Epper performed stunts as Lynda Carter in the Wonder Woman television series, she has also performed stunts in Charlie's Angels (the TV series), Blade Runner, Poltergeist, the original Dynasty, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and The Amazing Spider-Man.
(image via Pinterest)
With a repertoire like hers, Epper proves herself to be a real life Wonder Woman!
Emilia Clarke & Rosie Mac

Just because you put a blonde wig on doesn't make you Khaleesi. But when Rosie Mac dons her Daenerys makeup for her body double roles in Game of Thrones, she looks like Emilia Clarke's long lost sister.
(image via Pinterest)
Clarke doesn't make it easy to match her badass blonde energy, but Mac somehow finds a way.
Brad Pitt & Stunt Double

On the set of Ridley Scott's The Counsellor, Brad Pitt shares a word with his stunt double. From the slick back pony to the goatee facial hair, the look is spot on! The only difference is the tan and a couple of inches in height difference.
(image via Pinterest)
It's uncanny the work that make-up and costume departments can do. This double matches Pitt perfectly, terrible style sense and all.
Chris Hemsworth & Bobby Holland Hanton

Bobby Holland Hanton looks so much like Chris Hemsworth that he's performed as Chris's stunt double in nearly all of his movies. They include the Thor and Avengers films, The Huntsman movies, and In the Heart of the Sea. He was also Chris Pine's stunt double in Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill's stunt double in Mission: Impossible - Fallout.
(image via Pinterest)
These two are so similar, but still the craziest part of this photo is Chris Hemsworth eating a sandwich. He still eats carbs with a body like that!
Arnold Schwarzenegger & Peter Kent

For 15 years, Kent worked as Schwarzenegger's stunt double, including the famous first two installments of The Terminator. His least favorite part of filming? Having to wear a latex mask of Arnold every single day for the six months of filming.
Not every stunt double can look exactly like their counterpart, but it's not as hard to pull off when the half of the character's face is melted off.
Chris Pratt & Tony McFarr

Once you find a good stunt double, you stick with him. Tony McFarr has been Chris Pratt's stunt double in both Guardians and Jurassic World films, as well as Passengers. You might have also seen him in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Pitch Perfect 3, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
(image via Pinterest)
With a filmography like that, it's safe to safe that McFarr is talented. You'd have to be to make Chris Pratt look tough.
Jennifer Garner and Shauna Duggins

Like Jennifer, Shauna is a bit of a trailblazer. She was the first female stunt performer nominated for an Outstanding Stunt Coordination Emmy. Plus, she doubled for Jennifer on Alias, 13 Going on 30, Elektra, and Daredevil.
Image via Pinterest
Stunt doubles aren't just for action stars. They need to versatile and ready for any kind of role, espeically working with someone like Garner.
Michael J. Fox & Charlie Croughwell

If you were impressed by Michael J. Fox's skateboarding skills in Back to the Future, you have Charlie Croughwell (far right) to thank for that. His fancy footwork and similar build made it seem like there was only one actor interspersed through all those cuts. He came back for Parts II and III.
(image via Pinterest)
In the distant future of 2015, Croughwell proved himself to be just as talented with a hoverboard. If only had those turned out like Back to the Future predicted.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson & Tanoai Reed

The Rock's stunt double, Tanoai Reed, looks so much like him you might think that they are related. Well, they actually are! Reed is Johnson's cousin and has been playing his stunt double in The Fast and the Furious films, as well as The Rundown, Hercules, and San Andreas.
(image via Pinterest)
You'd have to have some of that Rock blood in you to match the kick-butt action Johnson brings to all of his roles.
Tom Cruise & Jimmy N. Roberts

Tom Cruise is known for doing some of his own stunts, particularly in the Mission: Impossible franchise. But there are some things Tom doesn't do even with all his previous practice. That's when Jimmy N. Roberts puts on his hat and shades and steps into the role. And, often, we the audience are none the wiser!
(image via Pinterest)
It must take a lot to step into those Cruise shoes. You think Roberts is a Scientologist too?
Taylor Lautner & Gabriel Nunez

Taylor Lautner's twin-like stunt double has played his likeness in two films: Tracers and The Ridiculous 6. Gabriel Nunez has also performed stunts as Colin Farell's double in Dead Man Down and the Total Recall remake.
(image via Pinterest)
What is most amazing about Nunez beyond his ability to take on all the danger for Lautner is his ability to match the scruffy half-beard perfectly.
Mark Ruffalo & Anthony Molinari

Now You See Me 2 is a mind-bender of a movie about illusionists, but the cast and crew must have thought they were part of a magic trick when they were on set with Mark Ruffalo and his stunt double Anthony Molinari. The two are almost indistinguishable!
(image via Pinterest)
Molinari even looks just as good in a suit as Ruffalo, but don't let their smiles fool you. You wouldn't like either of them when they're angry.
Jennifer Lopez & Stunt Double

This one is just pure fun. For a music video that required some stunt work, J. Lo's stunt double copied everything to a T, including the trio of braids on the left side of her head. One major difference between the two, however, was that her stunt double was a man. He sure got his J. Lo pout on point, though!
(image via Pinterest)
It's hard to believe that there's anything J. Lo can't do. This brave young stunt double must be the studio's idea. We wouldn't want to risk hurting a national treasure.
Natalie Portman & Sarah Lane

Natalie Portman is a great actress, but she needed a little help during the filming of Black Swan. Portman had practice with ballet, but professional ballerina Sarah Lane stepped in to do some of the more complicated maneuvers. The makeup helps them look identical!
(Image via Pinterest)
Wait. There's two of them? Well it looks like we won't be sleeping tonight.
Kate Beckinsale & Alicia Vela-Bailey

Who is who?! This is Kate Beckinsale standing next to her stunt double from Total Recall. It’s pretty difficult to tell them apart thanks to the sunglasses, long brown hair, and all black attire. Alicia Vela-Bailey has apparently been Beckinsale’s stunt double on multiple films including Underworld: Blood Wars and Underworld Awakening.
(Image via Facebook)
I'm sure even the director had a hard time telling these two apart. Either way, they make for some bad ass monster killing.
Shia LaBeouf & Stunt Double

We had to double take with these two. If it weren’t for the stunt double’s strong brow, we wouldn’t know who the real Shia. The good-looking stunt double assisted Shia during his time working on the Transformers franchise.
(Image via Pinterest)
The double may be able to look and act like LaBeouf, but let's all hope he's not as crazy!
Cameron Diaz & Kimberly Shannon Murphy

Cameron Diaz and Kimberly Shannon Murphy look so similar that they often work together. It’s difficult to tell them apart—and impossible to do so from behind! Murphy was Diaz’s body double in The Box, Bad Teacher, Knight and Day, The Other Woman, and What Happens in Vegas.
(Image via Facebook)
Diaz better watch out. If we can't tell the two apart, maybe casting agents won't be able to either...
Uma Thurman & Zoe Bell

Uma Thurman and Zoe Bell look so alike! The most significant difference is Bell’s nose, and that makes them virtually indistinguishable from behind. Bell regularly shows up in Tarantino films, but she’s also performed as a stuntwoman in Thor: Ragnarok, Iron Man, The Proposal, and 27 Dresses.
(Image via Facebook)
Watching Kill Bill, you'd think Uma Thurman is as much of a badass all the time. Thanks to Bell, though, she doesn't have to be. We still choose to believe.
Charlize Theron & Alicia Vela-Bailey

Alicia Vela-Bailey is a very popular stuntwoman. Along with Kate Beckinsale, she’s also performed as Charlize Theron’s stunt double on Brandon Flowers: Crossfire. The biggest difference between them is Vela-Bailey has brown eyes while Charlize Theron has blue eyes.
(Image via Facebook)
It's gotta take a lot of skill to get so rough up and still look as good as these ladies do, but they find a way.
Bryce Dallas Howard & Whitney Coleman

If Whitney Coleman were wearing more eye makeup, she would look just like Bryce Dallas Howard. The two are basically sisters! We feel bad for Whitney Coleman because she probably also had to run in heels—something Bryce Dallas Howard insisted on during the filming of Jurassic World.
(Image via Facebook)
Devoted stunt doubles must be hard to find, but Coleman is committed her. She's got the fiery bangs and all.
Tom Hardy & Jacob Tomuri

Jacob Tomuri was Tom Hardy’s stunt double during Mad Max: Fury Road, but that isn’t all. He was also Hardy’s stunt double for a couple of other films including Venom and Legend. We can see why—they look like twins. Tomuri has also performed in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit trilogy, and Avatar.
(Image via Facebook)
With a resume like that, we'd wager to guess people have seen more Jacob Tomuri movies than most actors working in Hollywood.
Lucy Lawless & Zoe Bell

Zoe Bell is a well-established stunt woman in Hollywood, who has performed stunts in more than 26 films. But Bell got her start as a stunt woman on the show Xena: Warrior Princess, as a stunt double for the main character Xena.
(Image via Facebook)
No wonder Bell has had such a full career. It's easy to get some attention when you're tumbling around for a legend like Xena.
Rupert Grint & Anthony Knight

When Rupert Grint hit a growth spurt after the filming of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, he needed a stunt double whose height could keep up. For the filming of Prisoner of Azkaban and onward Anthony Knight was the new stunt double for Rupert. Thankfully, Grint and Knight only have an inch of high difference between them, which makes standing in for one another much easier on directors.

Daniel Craig & Bobbie Holland

Bobbie Holland has worked with several stars including Ryan Reynolds, Christian Bale, and Channing Tatum. However, Holland looks shockingly similar to Daniel Craig in this clip from Quantum of Solace.
(Image via Pinterest)
Despite Holland's impressive career, 007 makes for some pretty tough secret agent shoes to fill. Surely the British government commends him for his service.
Tessa Thompson & Tara Macken

Wait – are there two Tessa Thompsons? Because we’d be down for that. Nah! That’s her stunt double, Tara Macken. They’re both on set, filming Valkyrie, the next Thor installation. They don’t look exactly the same, but it’s enough to make us do a double-take.
Not only do they look alike, based on these pictures, it seems like they know how to have a good time. Who wouldn't want to party with these two?
Robert Pattinson & Paul Darnell

You didn’t really think that Pattinson was actually doing all of those fight scenes with the Volturi, did you? That was all Paul Darnell. Since the end of the Twilight Saga, Darnell has gone on to perform stunts in Jurassic World, Baby Driver, and Man of Steel.
(Image via Pinterest)
He doesn't quite have the looks of Robert Pattinson, but then again, he's probably not as sensitive as Edward either.
Robbie Coltrane & Martin Bayfield

When you think of Hagrid from Harry Potter, you may think of his kind face, which belongs to Robbie Coltrane. But, if you think of his astonishing size, you’re thinking of Martin Bayfield. Bayfield is nine inches taller than Coltrane and is used for any scene where Hagrid’s size needs to be emphasized.
(Image via Facebook)
Wow, he's huge. Hagrid may be sweet, but Bayfield definitely isn't the kind of guy you want to run into when you're out in the enchanted forest.
Brit Morgan & Stella Angelova

This picture shows a bloody and battered Britt Morgan and Stella Angelova after a thrilling action scene in season three, episode eight of the show True Blood. Even with the blood on Morgan’s face, the resemblance between these two is clear.
(Image via Pinterest)
James Marster & Steve Tartalia

When in costume, Steve Tartalia looks so much like James Marster that crew members of Buffy were constantly confusing the two of them. Crew members would constantly ask Tartalia why he wasn’t on set and asking Marster to demonstrate a fake punch.
(Image via Facebook)
Buffy isn't a show necessarily known for its realistic action sequences, but Tartalia made them work in the drama of it all.
Michelle Morgan & Kateri Cowley

On the show, Heartland actors do have to know how to ride a horse, but training on being a riding professional takes more time than can be asked of a non-professional. That’s where Kateri Cowley’s expertise comes in. Cowley has been a professional equestrian for years, so it was easy for her to take Morgan’s place in a competitive scene.
(Image via Facebook)
They not both be professional riders, but all dolled up in their rodeo wear, the two are certainly galloping all over our hearts.
Regina King & Dartena Bryant

On the show Southland, Dartena Bryant is who you see performing stunts for Regina King. Bryant has 95 stunt accreditations in addition to four roles and co-producing her own film. Since Southland ended in 2013, Bryant has performed stunts for shows such as Fear The Walking Dead, Grey’s Anatomy, and Iron Fist.
(Image via Pinterest)
Not only can Bryant get down and dirty in a variety of roles, she also pulls off that bowl-cut bob almost as well and Regina King does.
Reese Witherspoon & Marilee Lessley

Reese Witherspoon has her own personal double, Marilee Lessley. Lessley and Witherspoon have now worked on six films together due to their shockingly similar appearance. Though she is Witherspoon’s professional double, she has only performed stunts for Witherspoon in the 2011 film Water for Elephants.
(Image via Pinterest)
Thankfully for Lessley, Witherspoon's typical roles don't call for too many dangerous shots since she'd probably take on the part either way. The two look like they've got to be sisters.
Sofia Vergara & Body Double
Sofia Vergara and her niece prove that beauty runs in the family. Claudia Vergara is pretty much a clone of her aunt, who is 20 years her senior.
Despite their age difference, both women share the same jaw-dropping features and signature style. They even have the same hair! At first glance, you would think they were sisters.
Keanu Reeves & Chad Stahelski

Chad Stahelski doubled for Keanu Reeves in the iconic movie, The Matrix, in 1999. After the first movie, Stahelski worked as a martial arts stunt coordinator for the franchise, occasionally filling in for Reeves during extreme shots. Stahelski also doubled for Brandon Lee in The Crow and has been mainly working as a stunt coordinator ever since.
The two are not so much look-alikes these days, but Stahelski has looked taken on several different looks to bring us some of the coolest stunts in movie history.
Reese Witherspoon & Marny Eng

When she puts on a blond wig Marny Eng could easily pass for Reese Witherspoon in action shots, as you can tell from her role as Witherspoon’s stunt double in Hot Pursuit. Eng has performed as a stunt double in more than 100 movies, doubling for big-name actresses like Ellen Page, Lucy Liu, and Carmen Electra.
She's got the look for Reese Witherspoon, definitely. But it's a little hard to believe that Eng could be so convincing as Lucy Liu. Either way, she convinced us.
Ben Affleck & Rich Cetrone

Originally starting out as an amateur boxer, Rich Cetrone later studied martial arts. His background in martial arts gave him an edge, and he eventually landed the job as Ben Affleck’s stunt double in the 2019 film Triple Frontier.
Most actors usually want to own their role, but in some cases you've just got to leave it to the professionals. With a reputation like Cetrone's, he is certainly that.
Angelina Jolie & Janene Carleton

Another great example of how a good wig can make two women look like sisters is when Janene Carleton was Angelina Jolie’s stunt double in the 2010 action flick Salt. Carleton started out as a horse trainer and stunt doubled for actors for their horse-related stunts. She has also doubled for Ashley Judd in Helen, Jessica Biel in Total Recall, and Heather Graham in Horns.
Judging by the photo, there's not a lot of commonalities between the two besides their beanies. Yet watching the movie, you'd never know the difference.
Elijah Woods & Kiran Shah

Kiran Shah currently holds the world record for the shortest professional stuntmen working in film and is in high demand as a perspective stunt double. In The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Kiran Shah was a scale double for Elijah Wood so that Wood could look the size of a hobbit on screen. With a wig and matching outfit, you could easily mistake Shah for a real-life Frodo.
It can't be a coincidence that the shortest working stunt performer looks so similar to Elijah Wood. It seems like they were each born for the role, or maybe they're real-life hobbits themselves...
Ken Stott & Peter Dillon

Peter Dillon has done a lot of work as a stunt performer and doubled in television series such as The Tudors, Penny Dreadful, and Vikings. He’s also had roles in every Lord of the Rings movie including the later addition, The Hobbit. In full hair and makeup, Dillon looks more like Ken Stott’s twin rather than a stunt double.
It never hurts to have an extra hobbit around. With everybody running around the shire, it's hard to tell whether Dilllon was on screen or not.
Hugh Jackman & Richard Bradshaw

Richard Bradshaw started out as an actor but his career never really took off. He found much more success as a stuntman and became well-known for his versatility and impressive skills. Hugh Jackman, who is also Bradshaw’s brother-in-law, recognized his talent and asked him to work with him in X-Men: The Last Stand, as well as a few other films such as Van Helsing.
He may not have seen much success as an actor in his own right, but he sure plays Hugh Jackman pretty well. Not just anybody can handle that kind of mutant action.
Faye Marsay & Casey Michaels

Casey Michaels comes from a family of stunt performers and has worked in big-name films like The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and many more. Recently, Michaels was a stunt double for Faye Marsay in Game of Thrones, proving that she could easily pass for Marsay’s doppelgänger.
Robin Williams & Mike Mitchell

Mike Mitchell has performed as a stunt double for Robin Williams in multiple movies such as Flubber, Jumanji, and Jakob the Liar. It’s easy to see why Mitchel has worked with Williams so much; Mitchell had us seeing double when he and Williams were both in costume for the movie Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
Mitchell also has an impressive array of skills including mixed martial arts training, professional skateboarding, weapons training, and has his pilot license. He's got enough talents to match the range Williams had.
Margot Robbie & Ingrid Kleinig

Ingrid Kleinig has an impressive list of movies she’s worked on as a stunt performer, and she’s also a talented athlete. Kleinig found her calling as a stunt double at the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Olympic Games. She was a dancer, a professional driver, and was one of only two female drivers in Mad Max: Fury Road. Margot Robbie and Ingrid Kleinig look so alike it’s almost creepy, but at least Robbie gets to work with one of the best stunt performers out there!
